screendoor: an ybor city microcinema
Located in historic Ybor City, Screendoor is a truly micro cinema (having around 32 seats) and has incredible programming with screenings spanning all genres. We wanted to convey a sense of community, belonging, welcome and a laid-back Florida vibe with the name and logo. During previews, the iconic swinging door sound signals to the audience that another killer show is coming to the theatre.
Monthly, I create energetic and jaunty moving images for Screendoor social media—this aesthetic has become an iconic element to the theatre and makes the website dance with wiggling words.
