LETTERPAL

This project was the result of research into a design problem I felt I could devise an effective and thoughtful solution to. The problem? So-called "snail mail" and its role in our day to day lives. At one time, letters were the only form of communication people had, and catching up on correspondence was an important part of the daily schedule. I approached this project looking into statistics on mail and person-to-person communication in our society today, and compiled that evidence into the data points displayed to the left. With this data, I decided to create a product that could change the way people view mail and allow them to send letters more efficiently. About the size of a Moleskine journal, this folio for letter-writing contains pockets for envelopes, notecards, and stamps.
